The debate about Entrepreneurs being born or made is one without a sure winner and Bayero Agabi's story is a fine example of the debate. After several years in paid employment, in the media industry and reaching the peak of his career, Bayero opted to start his own media business. He soon became Africa's leading ICT broadcast journalist but always felt there was more he could achieve with his wealth of experience. In 2007 he registered Transatlantic Media Company (TMC) and leveraged extensively on his ICT knowledge. Within a short period, TMC became a major player in the media industry, employing some of the best brains in the sector. What did he do right? Was he born an entrepreneur or did he develop himself to become one?
