This week on Enterprise Stories we feature the story of Mesturah Shittu a graduate of Chemistry turned Carpenter. Mesturah discovered that there was more to her purpose than ending up as a lab chemist after completion of her 6 months Industrial training. She was restless after the completion of the training and began to ask questions on how she can be who she's called to be. She discovered her passion in furniture after completion of a supply of office furniture when she was in her 4th year in the university. Since then, Mesturah has undertaken several capacity building trainings in Interior designing and Carpentry. She founded Turahfrique Interiors Ltd in 2007 and incorporated in 2008 and Spaces & Wood Ltd which was incorporated in 2016. Today, she has 8 full time staffs and supervises over 75 workers and artisans on different projects. Recently Turahfique was distinguished and won the award as the African Best Premium Quality Interior Designer and Furniture Company of the Year 2016. Join us on Tuesday 22nd November at 3pm on Inspiration 92.3Fm or log on to edcradioonline.com to listen to Mesturah share her story on how she moved from the Chemistry lab to the Carpentry workshop.
