On Enterprise Stories this week, we feature Azukaego Ekpe, a passionate early childhood practitioner, professional teacher, school administrator, Montessori trainer and motivational speaker. She studied Law at the University of Benin and upon graduation did a couple of jobs in events planning and management before deciding to study Montessori Method of teaching from Modern Montessori international London in 2010. In 2013, Azukaego started Daati’s Pride School after searching in vain for an appropriate school for her 2 years old daughter. The school took off from her house with her daughter and later 3 other children. Apart from the fact that parents were initially skeptical about bringing their children to the school, she also encountered financial challenges but she was undeterred, Daati’s Pride has overcome and is waxing strong. The joy at seeing the excellent performance of her pupils in competitions and the positive change that they exhibit has motivated Azukaego to do more. Today, Daati’s Pride has over 100 pupils and employs 23 teachers and Nannies. .
