This week on Enterprise Stories, we feature Eme Ugwuegbu, the founder of Sahara Sunrise Ltd. Eme started business from her days as an undergraduate at the University of Southern California, she would make jewelry, paint T-shirts and pottery and sell to her friends in school. The idea for Sahara Sunrise came when she visited Nigeria on a holiday and stayed with a friend who used shea butter. She was amazed about how it moisturized the skin and hair and she took some back with her to school, added fragrance, honey and then put them in jars. The feedback she got after the few sales she made was overwhelming. Customers kept calling and relating their experience about the products and this made her to incorporate this as a business. Today Sahara Sunrise has been disrupting the Nigerian Skin and Hair care industry with her products made from natural ingredients. Tune in to Enterprise Stories on Inspiration 92.3Fm or log on to edcradioonline.com this Tuesday at 3pm to listen to Eme’s story.
