This is a story of how passion created wealth. “Passion is clearly one of the characteristics of the wealthiest people in the world”. In 2007, Tope Alaka graduated from the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) where he studied Geography. While in the university, Tope got involved with theatre arts, attending rehearsals and took up minor roles in theatre shows and play. Tope developed a deeper interest in theatre arts and this led him to travel for filming and cinematography courses in the United States and India respectively. However, the interest in him came out when he spotted the auditioning gap in the Nigerian film industry after his return from the US in 2016. This led him to partner with an IT company where they developed an auditioning app where movie producers and actors meet. Cast.i.ng has evolved and today, have over five hundred (500) non-paying subscribers and has completed about two hundred (200) auditions.
