This week on enterprise stories, we will feature a young lady who studied Building Technology but then committed to building cakes and desserts. In 2007, Tolu Samaiye, CEO, Melting Moments got her first job, a holiday job at a coffee shop in the UK. Every holiday she would return to the same coffee shop, working in the bakery, on the shop floor and making deliveries for her entire four years in the University. While she was waiting for her NYSC, Tolu decided to start making cupcakes for friends and family; managing production and delivery all by herself. After a year, she employed 3 people and finally registered Melting moments as a business.
