This week on Enterprise Stories, we feature the story of Dr. Maymunah Yusuf Kadiri, a Consultant Neuro-Psychiatrist and the Medical Director of Pinnacle Medical Services, a health and wellness Centre. In 2010, Dr. Maymunah embarked on a journey that changed her view about mental health. After experiencing firsthand the challenges faced by her senior colleagues who upon completion of their residency program as Consultant Neuro-Psychiatrists ended up without jobs, she was challenged to take her destiny in her hands by registering Pinnacle Medical Centre in 2011 as a business while still working as a resident doctor. In 2012, at the completion of her residency, Dr. Maymunah opened a small office with two staff where she offered counseling and psychotherapy sessions. Today, Maymunah has being able to expand her workforce to 15 full time staff and offers a range of innovative services including Africa's first online health radio and has leveraged technology to reach her market with Pinnacle Medical. Maymunah is a Goldman Sachs scholar and Vital Voices Grow program alumni.
