This week on Enterprise Stories we feature the story of Udeme Mfon-Okon, the Pig farmer. Udeme is an accountant and the CEO of Maser Farms. After her graduation from the University in 1998, she secured a job with a bank where she worked for 13 years before she decided in 2012 to leave and follow her entrepreneurial dream. Udeme started her initial business by exporting charcoal to Europe and Western countries but after facing several challenges she decided to go into Pig farming which was her first love. At the point of starting, she met a friend who was into pig farming, with his help and her research on the sector she started Maser Farms in 2014 with one staff. Today Udeme has 5 five staff and several retailers in Lagos.
